Nuclear Cowboyz Show

Yesterday we took Gage to a Motocross show, The Nuclear Cowboys, at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati Ohio, he LOVED it, he did say once that it was too loud, but he watched every flip, every stunt the four wheelers and dirt bikes did. It was really fun and we all enjoyed the show.

Today we have been watching movies, coloring and playing.

Today Gage went Skating for the VERY 1st Time. Last year for his cousin Madison's Birthday we went to her roller skating party but did not skate.

SO today at Makenna's 5th Birthday Party, I let Gage "skate."

He was so excited to put on his "tires" on. He kept calling them his tires, not skates. Haha.

Gage did okay for his first time skating, he did of course fall, but he didn't mind at all.

Snow Day

Before church Last Sunday. after church we went out to dinner to celebrate Tommy's birthday at his FAVORITE place to eat-- Toro Loco.

Today, there was NO SCHOOL which meant NO WORK for this MAMA, and Daddy is almost always off on Fridays so we had a family day and played in the snow for a little bit, not long though because it was REALLY COLD.

This morning, I was playing in the floor with Gage, we were building with his new LEGO's that he LOVES, I noticed after he built this "wall" for his chipmunks, that he had some what created a pattern on most of the block colors, so I asked Gage what they colors were and he said " yellow, blue, yellow blue, Mommy I made a pattern, like Umi Zoomi." Team Umi Zoomi, is Gage's NEW favorite show he watches it every morning while eating his breakfast, they do a lot of patterns so this is obviously something he has picked up off that show, still yet I was so proud, and said "YES you did Baby." he just smiled and thought he was something cool, haha.

Our Lazy Saturday

It seldom ever happens that we get to spend an entire day at home, just relaxing and enjoying each others company. Today we have done NO RUNNING, instead I have managed to Clean this entire house-spotless, and Take Gage for a bike ride around the block, He loved it, he had so much fun and peddled and rode his bike all the way around our little circle. It is so unreal to me that my little boy is now actually a BIG boy and riding a BIKE, before I can even grasp the thought, he will be riding his bike without training wheels.. Here is my Mr. Cutie Pants today..

OK, first of all I'm sure all of you are thinking, this Blog is about a little boy, not a girl, so the header "Dress Up" might be a little misguiding, haha. BUT my little feller has such a HUGE imagination. Our very close friends have been home for the Holidays, so we've let the kids play as much as possible. SO these pictures are from play time with Mialyn, when we got to Mialyn's Mamaw and Papaw's, Mialyn was dressed up as Abby Cadabby, so Gage wanted a costume too, Bub (Mialyn's Papaw) went to get his milatary attire, and Gage had to add wings to the costume.

I just want to start this post out by saying I AM SO PROUD of Gage, this morning after I had to WAKE up my 2 year old, because I was so excited for him to see what Santa had left at our house, and after he had opened all his presents, I asked Gage, "do you know why we celebrate Christmas?" he said "because Jesus is way high up in the sky and he loves me Mommy." I was so proud I almost cried. Knowing that Gage is listening during Sunday school, and listening to Tommy and I when we read him bible stories before bed, it COMPLETELY made my day! Gage, Tommy and I had a GREAT Christmas!! Gage got a BIKE from Santa along with tons of other toys he had (almost) all requested, Haha. I thought this was adorable, Gage is telling Santa how high Spiderman can fly. He was telling Santa Spiderman is so cool, and he wants a Spiderman bike and helmet for Christmas.

Gage finally sat on Santa's lap after we bribed him with candy, Mamaw sitting on Santa's lap, and finally getting Destiny. I guess because Destiny was a big girl and could sat on Santa's lap, Gage decided he could too.

This was in the cafeteria at Central, Gage wanted to follow Mamaw to lunch, he sat at the lunch table like a big boy, and even ate some lunch by himself. It's so hard to believe that my BABY boy could go to school by himself in August 2012. Although he is very excited, this Momma could hold off for a couple more years.

In my previous post I had described the Christmas inflatable that Gage chose this weekend at Wal-Mart. Here is it, he is totally in LOVE with it, he wants to always look out the window at Santa, and when we go outside he always wants to stand right beside it and says " Look how cool Mom."

Yesterday after church, Gage, Tommy & I went out to lunch to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We ate at Toro Loco, which was the same place we ate at the day we got married, our anniversary is December 4, 2010, so we didn't get to go any where for our anniversary because it started to snow, and honestly neither of us wanted to leave Gage. When I think about vacations, the first thing I think of is "where could we go that would be fun for GAGE?" so going somewhere without him, just was not an option. haha. After we ate, we took Gage to Big Lots to pick out a Christmas Santa inflatable, our neighbors have a couple up, and he is obsessed with theirs. Big Lots didn't have much of a selection so he ended up getting one from Wal-Mart, -Santa in his sleigh and an Elf on the back,- it was very cute, he made a good a choice :D afterwards We made our way up to Ashland to see the pretty Christmas lights. Gage loved all the lights and hugged on Santa and the snowman ones. Our anniversary was well spent with a day full of whatever Gage wanted us to do. We wouldn't have it any other way, after all he is our everything.

Every year after Thanksgiving dinner, I always like to put up our Christmas tree. So we did Thursday night Gage LOVED decorating his tree and helped decorate the main tree in the living and helped put up decorations downstairs as well.

Gage playing at Central Park in Ashland. Since today was a nice day after we had lunch at Cheddar's, my sister & I took Gage to play at the park. I LOVE days when he can be outside playing instead of always being inside.

Gage has been asking about Santa lately so today he got to visit Santa at the Ashland mall. There was a line to wait in, and my very impatient 2 year old was anxious, when it was finally his turn he ran up to Santa, jumped on his lap and said "I need Monster Trucks please" also Santa was passing out candy canes so Gage expressed how much he "NEEDED" a candy cane too. I am so VERY proud of my baby. He's so big! His vocabulary is unbelievable, sometimes I have no idea where he gets the things he says, but no matter what he can always put a smile on my face with the things and the way he talks.
Once we got home Gage kept telling me "I don't feel good Mommy." I just thought it was from earlier, while we were eating at Cheddar's, he bit his jaw while eating his food. Which I know hurts bad, you could tell it hurt him all evening afterwards. But once we got home my little guy ran a fever of 101, and got sick 4 times. Once I got some Tylenol in him, he was just fine, hungry and acted like nothing was ever wrong. So I'm not sure what was going on with him tonight.

I had to share this photo, look how adorable my baby looked yesterday, and believe it or not he actually kinda, sorta dressed himself, he picked out his jeans and his boots.

Gage loves being outside and riding bikes. Today was actually decent so we spent about an hour outside playing.

I know my little handsome pants is SO smart, he amazes me more and more each day. Yesterday he laid out a bunch of his cars and counted then all, got every single number correct, he'd say "one, two, three, fours, five, six, seven..." all the way 10, we've really been working on counting and our Alphabet lately, he catches on so fast and picks up on everything.

My little Dragon hadn't been feeling well earlier during the day, he fell asleep around 4 and trick or treat started at 5, so we let him sleep for about 45 minutes then woke him up to let him see all the other kids dressed up hoping that he would want to dress up too.
Finally around 5:15 he decided he wanted his costume on and we headed off to our First house, on the way there it started to sprinkle so we made our way back to our house after visiting and getting our candy there. Then it eventually stopped and a RAINBOW came out. :)
Then we tried to whole trick or treating thing again, this time we made it farther around the block and got LOTS of good candy. we stopped around 6:30 and Brody came over to play with Gage.

He's can't be big enough for that step YET (and I'm not ready for that leap either) haha.

Family Vacation to Tennessee.

Thursday morning we left our home and headed towards Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a 4 day 3 night vacation. On Thursday when we arrived in Tennessee we were all very tired some of us took naps while the rest of us unpacked and had a little bite to eat Gage and Jace played in the hot tub. Gage absolutely loved it! Later that evening we all went to the Titanic Boat, a newer attraction they have in town, it was very informational and interesting, but then again I am a TITANIC lover, love the movie! Gage thought the boat was really cool, he likes "big boats!" After we left the Titanic we went over to let Gage play on some of the carnival rides while we waited on our pizza order to get done.

On Friday everyone woke up early and we headed to Cade's Cove to see all the wild animals. We ended up seeing A LOT of turkeys only one deer and one BEAR up in the top of a tree! After Cade's Cove my brother Jonathan and his friend Dustin went ziplining while Tommy, Gage, Jace, Tracy, Dylan and Alexis rode horses, my Dad and I didn't want to portake either of those activties so I got to watch Jon and Dustin zipline and I'll admit I was a little jealous, but still not brave enough. Later that evening my sister, Gage, Tommy and I headed to the outlets to do some serious shopping.

This morning Gage and I went with our friends Lea and Brody to "Library Time." Lea takes Brody all the time and I've always wanted to take Gage but usually with my work schedule I can't, so since I'm off work all week for Fall Break, Gage and I finally got to make the trip with them. Gage loved it, he laughed and played and sang along with all the songs and really listened to all the books too! I just loved watching him have fun and play with all the kids. I'm going to try and take Gage more often, plus its really good for him and educational too. They sang songs, like the ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Snappy Turtle, The Itsy Bitsy Spider (Gage's favorite) and several other songs too. It was very entertaining to watch Gage move his little hands and do all the motions to all the songs. He had a lot of fun! After Library Time we took the kids to lunch and then back to Lea's house to play for a while. Once Gage and I left there we stopped at our other friends, Amber and Rialynn's to play outside at the playground close by their house. Gage has played his little heart today.

On Sunday we went BACK to the Rfarm again because Gage really enjoyed it last weekend and plus Rialynn and Amber wanted us to tag along with them.

tonight we are cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, doing laundry and packing all of our bags, because bright and early in the morning we are leaving for Tennessee with my parents and all my siblings. This is our first vacation as a WHOLE family since my little brother Jace was born, he is now 6 so its been tooooo many years since we've all had a nice little family vacay! I'm very excited because this is my first vacation with Jace as well as my sister Alexis, and my families first vacation together since my little Gage came into our lives. I am also very excited to be in the mountains of Tennessee, this time of year is simply perfect down there, Honestly I COULD live there I LOVE it so much! Pictures of our mini-vacation to come! "R Farm"

Today we took Gage to the "R Farm" its a local pumpkin patch, they sit it up every year right around Fall time and Halloween, for kids and families to just enjoy themselves. We love it, there's all kinds of things to do with the little ones, there's playgrounds, tractors and trains to climb on made out of wood, four wheeler "pig" rides (barrels painted like pigs) hay rides, a petting zoo, riding toys and pony rides. we spent about 4 hours just letting Gage run and play and have fun, it was a perfect day for family fun. Perfect weather, and company from our friends and family.

The Lion King

Yesterday we took Gage to see "The Lion King" movie. Honestly at first Tommy and I were probably more excited than he was, just because as a child I remember seeing it with my cousins and Aunt in theatre, and Tommy seen it with his parents. So it was an "old" classic, that we really wanted to share with Gage as a family. Once we got there and bought Gage his "kids meal" popcorn, candy and a kids drink, and sat down at our seats, he was all locked into the movie. He loved all the singing the movie has in it and danced and clapped along with the movie. He really liked all the different animals, he would point and say "wook (look) Daddy big Lion." He only got up once to use the potty and when he did he made sure the whole auditorium heard it "Mommy I go potty I be right back." all the way from the front of the theatre to the back where I could no longer hear him yelling at me, Haha. Our movie experience with "The Lion King" went much better than the experience we had taking Gage to see "Cars 2."

This picture was taken at Tommy's cousins' wedding this weekend in Indiana, (which from all the pictures I've seen was so pretty, it was the very vintage look, which I LOVE!!) Little Miss Destiny attended the wedding, she loves weddings.

Fall Time.

I'm a softy for Fall Time. I love decorating for fall and I love dressing my little guy in fall colors and pumpkins and Halloween cloths. So since its started to look and feel a lot like fall here in Kentucky my fall decorations have started to go up. I'm waiting until October to put out my outside fall decor, (the hay bells and pumpkins, pictures to come!) but inside my house it is defiantly FALL time. Just 3 weeks from today untill Tommy, Gage and I will be in the mountains of Tennessee with my family! I love it when its fall there, the leaves are beautiful and the weather is amazing!!

Aside from all the fall decor, this week Mialyn and Brittany came home for a week (not sure if I mentioned it before but they recently moved to California :-(. ---) so we were VERY excited to see them. Yesterday we took the kids to Huntington, we ate Red Lobster and Gage LOVED all the fish pictures and the Lobster tank that you see when you first walked in the door, You would have thought he was at the aquarium again as much as he was loving it! Then afterwards we too the kids to the Disney store, where they went WILD, Mialyn hopped right out of her stroller and began picking up the toys she wanted, Gage did just the same thing, picking up multiples of the same exact toy, haha, the kids were in TOY HEAVEN. Gage also picked out his Halloween costume for this year, he had his choices between Woody, Buzz, a Shark and a Dragon, which every time I would ask he would say he wanted to be a Monster or a Dinosaur, so he Picked a DRAGON, close enough to a Dinosaur. When we got home last night he even had to model it for Daddy, he loves his new costume!

The kids had a so much fun at the mall riding all the cars and airplanes and trains. They really played great together and Gage missed Mialyn so much, he loved spending the day with her!

So with the exception of number 2, and One accident yesterday we've been pee accident free since Last Wednesday! Yesterday Gage got some play time with Lukas and Destiny, so I'm sure he just simply "thought" he was too busy to go pee, LOL and plus we are so PROUD of him doing so well, I couldn't bring myself to discipline him for One accident. Today he has told me he has to (do number 2.) except he's not saying number 2, haha. but nothing yet. I'm just hoping he starts to know the feeling. My little man continues to keep getting bigger and bigger on me, I can not believe he is ALMOST potty trained! We are going on a mini Vacay to Tennessee with my parents in October I hope to have Gage COMPLETELY potty trained by then! Number 1 and Number 2. Happy Thursday Everyone! My Adventure to Potty Training.

Last Monday, August 1, I decided I'd start to potty train my (not so cooperative) 2 year old. Mind you he is ONLY 27 months old. I wasn't certain if he was ready, if I was making a mistake trying, all I knew was I was putting underwear on him (for 1 week, to try) and not turning back for the entire week. Lets start with..

Day 1: As soon as he would feel that he was wet he would say, Mommy I gotta pee, but by the time he told me he had already peed his pants. This goes on all day, so I cleaned up SEVERAL messes, and he only used the potty a total of 4 times all day the rest was in his underwear.

Day 2: He woke up around 8:30 told me he wanted his Diaper/Pull up off, (at night for bedtime I did put something other than underwear on him, night training is a total different story.) so he insisted on wearing his Lightening McQueen undies. So I was hoping and praying yay, maybe today I'll be cleaning up less messes. Because he was taking more interest in wanting to wear his underwear. Well no I was wrong, I bet I cleaned up just as many if not more.

Day 3: OK, as many of you may know I have been off work with him all summer, and Day 3, just happened to be my first day back to work. I had already cleaned up so many messed before I left for work and I was worried sick that Gage was just going to absolutely not use the potty for anyone else, especially his sitter, luckily on my first day back to work my Aunt Tanya kept him. So, I'm thinking he will go for her etc etc.. well no he was too busy playing with his cousins and every time we'd try to make him use the potty he'd scream and throw fits. By this point I'm in tears crying, "he'll never use the potty." "I can't force him." just very VERY upset. I dry it all up go to work, go pick up Gage after work and he falls asleep on the drive home. Once he wakes up from his nap he gets up and says "I gotta go potty." and has been telling us every since then that he has to potty. It was weird it was like something clicked. and he did not want to be wet anymore.

Day 4: He had ONE accident all day! He went back to his regular babysitter and even did good for her (he took at nap at her house, but HEY at least he didn't have any accidents!) told me all day when he had to pee and would use the potty with one exception, he thought he was too busy playing, but I let it slide because he is still young and he will forget some.

Now onto the other subject (number 2.) Not doing so well at all. so we are taking it one step at a time. We've almost (not completely) got daytime peeing down pat, then we're working on the other business, then we'll get to the night time training.

We are now at Day 6 and he's doing so good, I am SO PROUD OF MY BIG ~~baby~~ BOY.

Back to the night time training, any tips? I know I should take away his cup in the middle of the night, which we have, and just don't give him as many cups during the day (working on that. but he LOVES his cups.) and also nothing to drink right before bed. (that's also in progress, again he LOVES his cups.) As a child this was VERY embarrassing, but I wasn't night trained till I was 6, I had a lot of Bladder issues. I'm praying night training comes easier for my ~~little~~ BIG Gagey.

With school getting ready to start back we've been spending ALL the time we can just soaking up the sun.

**This past week..

-We took Gage to his 1st Reds Baseball game.. BAD idea, too hot for the little ones, my little brother got so hot, he got sick. So needless to say we did not stay long, and came home and spent the rest of our evening in the pool.

-We've had one sleepover and LOTS of play time. Madison, Zane, Jace, Destiny, Ryder-Dean, Lukas, Kade, and Peyton have all came to play this week. and we have enjoyed everyones company so much. Gage loves playing with other kids.

**Today..
Tab, Kade, Peyton, Gage and I all went to CONEY ISLAND. and Gage LOVED it and so did I. I totally recommend it, the pool was nice, the park was nice, and Gage could actually ride a lot of rides. We had a PERFECT day.

Last Saturday night we began our 10 hour journey to Myrtle Beach SC. Gage did REALLY well on the trip for the most part he slept, when he did wake up he watched his DVD player. When we arrived early Sunday morning we stopped at IHOP to eat some breakfast then headed to the hotel to check in when we got there our room wasn't ready but we went ahead and headed to the beach and to play in the pools. Gage loved the sand and the waves and especially the kiddie pools, haha. we visited Broadway at the beach and Ripley's Aquarium. I'll let the pictures tell the story. needless to say we had so much watching Gage play and have fun and enjoying his FIRST time at the beach!

Myrtle Beach SC, which where MY perfect Husband is taking us in 10 days!! I am so excited to be laying on the beach! watching Gage make sand castles and play in the waves! We just recently found out that my mother-in-law and father-in-law will be going with us! we are so excited they'll get to experience Gage's first time at the beach with us! we will be staying beachfront here..

Recently with all this awesome weather we've been in the pool or outside almost all day! And our little Gage is a water-puppy! LOVES IT! and just jumps right in! I promise the kid will be swimming by next summer, he just kicks and moves his arms and feet, and he even knows how to keep his head above the water. He makes me SO proud to be his Momma!

I feel so far behind on blogging, my work days recently changed from 2:30-6:30 to 8-3 days so their LONG and its something I AM NOT used to doing! haha. I am usually VERY lucky enough to get to stay home with my baby for most hours of the day! Though the money is good for the longer day, I AM SO TIRED ALL THE TIME.
SO..this past weekend Tommy's cousin Beth Ann got married to her Best Friend, Aaron! IT WAS A VERY VERY VERY VERY beautiful wedding, nice outside, country wedding, and though all week the weather called for Rain, On her Day, God gave them SUNSHINE, wind and a not so hot, perfect day!! GAGE was in the wedding, lets just say he's own show. Haha. Gage and another little boy, both of the age of 2, carried down the sign in front of Beth Ann saying " Here Comes The BRIDE." very cute and actually my little boy DID IT! I was so proud!!

On Monday of this week Gage started his VERY first Vacation Bible School.
My little baby is doing so well, he enjoys most all the activites, especially MUSIC and Dance. He gets right in there and plays with all the little kids in his class, and Plus its good for him to be around other kids. On Thursday at VBS DORA the EXPLOROR will be visiting, Gage is more than excited to see Dora, (DD) as he calls her. Pictures of that to come..

Road Trip To Indy.

This past weekend we made a trip to Indiana, to visit Aunt Bonita, Dean, Willis, Devin and Alisha. :) Gage had an absolute blast. When we got to Aunt Nini's on Friday night, Gage immediately seen the POOL and started saying " I want in Pool."Gage and Tommy went for a dip, while Aunt Bonita ordered us all pizza. On Saturday morning we spent about 4 hours yard saling trying to find some awesome deals. Then spent our afternoon swimming, of course. Later that evening we all went to "The Old Spaghetti Factory."which was delish! and afterwards we took Gage to the Indy Mall :)

Memorial Day Weekend.

To kick off our Memorial Day Weekend, we hosted a small get together with our close family and friends. Gage had a ball entertaining all his guests and even made a couple new friends. Here are some pictures from Saturday..

Sunday after church was our pool day! It was perfect weather for a pool day and Gage loved it even if the water was a bit cold..Around 3 the sun had drained Gage and I both, we took about a 2 hour nap and when we got back up we headed to Mamaw's house for supper, then over to Karen's new inground pool. And there my BRAVE little britches was jumping off the diving board! Of course Daddy was there to catch him but this was very scary for Mommy!

and On Monday (actual Memorial Day.) We visited with Brittany, Erik and Mialyn, their family hosted a HUGE cookout. Once we all ate we let the kids enjoy the creek and ride fourwheelers and my Little Water Dog, was in HEAVEN once we turned him loose in the creek! After we left there we visited my Mom's graveside.

and I HAVE to BRAG on my little darlings! This morning Gage and I attented the award ceremony at Tollesboro Elem. School, and ...

Zane got an AWARD for Accelerated Reading Points.

Destiny got 2 AWARDS one for being on the Rhythm Team and another for Accelerated Reading points.

Friday night Mialyn came over for a sleep over. While Tommy and Erik put breaks on Brittany's car, the kids played in Gage's room.

Saturday morning we took the kids outside to play and from about 10 till about 1 the kids played in the power wheels, in the water hose, on the slide and in the rock pile.They had a blast! Around 1 we ate lunch, and then got baths and then Gage and I headed to miss Rialynn's 1st Birthday party. After that Birthday Party, Papaw came and picked up Gage, so Gage could play with Uncle Jace, and Me and Tommy made our way to another birthday get together for Erik, we grilled out and had pasta salad, and birthday cake.

We ended our weekend with a Perfect Sunday. Jace came up to play with Gage today in his new little swimming pool. Then we went to the in laws for a cookout, and later to play with cousin Kade.

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend! We sure did!

So in my last post I posted that we bargained with Gage over Buzz and Woody. BUT.. last night his Mamaw and Poppy surprised him with the BUZZ, he was SO excited he couldn't wait for Daddy to OPEN it. Then later that night, since Tommy had worked all weekend we went out to eat at Bdubs, and we had a dinner guest..BUZZ so I guess you could say my child is S-P-O-I-L-E-D. Thanks Mamaw and Poppy. We started to try and really get Gage into "going to the potty." this past week and for the first day he did great! and after that, well that was it. I am still taking him to the potty when either I or Tommy go, because I want him to know, that's where you go to the potty, not in your diaper. I'm not pushing the issue because, I CAN'T make him go, he'll go when he wants! Plus he just turned 2, 2 weeks ago! Anyways the story behind Woody is, we told him if he would use the potty he could get the Woody Doll with some of his Birthday Money he had left. Of course when we got to the Toy Story isle he wanted more than Woody he wanted Buzz too, so we bargained with him, "you get only one now and later when you start going to potty more often and wear big boy undies we will buy you the other." He chose WOODY, he is recently obsessed with all 3 of the Toy Story movies, and needless to say from the above photos, he has yet to leave Woody behind! He is his NEW favorite toy!

On Friday I went down and helped Brittany decorate for Mialyn's 2nd Birthday Party, it was fun to decorate and hang out with my girls.
On Saturday, We celebrated Mialyn turning 2!! The party looked so cute! All the DORA decor was adorable! Gage had SO much at Mialyn's birthday party, jumping on the inflatable and meeting SWIPER the Fox and playing with all the kids! After the party Gage was wore out and took about an 1 and half nap, on our way to Ashland to return the inflatable and costume, and to get a few things at the mall.
On Sunday Mother's Day, we went to church and celebrated Mother's Day with our church family, and then came home and relaxed for a few hours before we headed to Tollesboro to celebrate Mother's Day with my step-momma.

2 Year Check Up

This morning Gage and I got up early and started getting ready for his 10 o'clock doctor appointment. My only Real concern about Gage was that his feet are turned inward, but the doctor reassured me that, unless it was causing him not to be able to walk at all, it was just fine. Another concern I had about Gage was that he may not be talking as much as I feel he should, but the doctor again reassured he was doing just fine, about the time I was saying that I feel he should talking more, Gage looked up at the doctor and said " I wanna go play." Doctor Andrew looked at me and laughingly said "That was a four word sentence, he is doing great." My baby makes me so proud EVERYDAY. He is perfect in EVERY way. Gage did NOT, absolutely DID NOT like the nurse who gave him his shot today, she pricked his finger he screamed, then once he got over that she came back in to give him his shot in his leg, I was holding Gage's hands, not with all might, but most ceratinly holding his hands away from the nurse, but before I knew it, he had reached down and grabbed the needle trying his darnest to pull it our his leg :( That broke my heart, he was crying so much and wanted what was causing him the pain out of his leg. At his check up Gage weighted 28 pounds and was 33 inches tall. And he was right in his percentile :)

My sweet baby is 2 Today, I don't know whether to be sad, excited, happy or a little of everything>? :S Today for Gage's Birthday, after church we took him to Toro Loco, for some good Mexican and a Birthday Ice Cream. Afterwards we stopped by Aunt Debann's for a visit and Birthday Presents, and then once we got home we rode the fourwheeler over to Great Granny and Papaw Don's, and there Aunt Sue gave him another birthday ice cream. Then later this evening we had visitors with more Birthday Presents, a slide from Nana and Bub, he loved the slide. Then to top his night off Mamaw and Poppy got him ANOTHER birthday Ice Cream Cone, needless to say the child has ENOUGHT ICE CREAM for one day. Easter Bunny.

On Sunday, Gage got to hunt eggs and meet the Easter Bunny, I was kind of scared he may be terrified of the Bunny, but he LOVED him, he didn't want to share him with other kids and even ran after him reaching for his hand, when the Easter Bunny walked off.

And as far as the egg hunt goes, this year he knew exactly what to do, he went straight after the eggs and ended up picking up quit a few and of course wanted them open to eat the candy inside of them.

Great Wolf Lodge and The Cincinnati Zoo Too :)

Wednesday, we loaded down the truck and made our way to The Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati Ohio. Since we had talked to Gage all week about where we were going this is how excited he was that we were actually going where we told him we were going.

Once we arrived we checked in and unloaded, Gage had slept almost all the way down so you can imagine the amount of energy this child had! Ha.

Once we got settled into our room, we put our swimsuits on and headed straight to the WATER PARK.

Wednesday Night, The hotel had story time for the kids and lets just say Gage was in "awe" he did not budge, he listened to EVERY bit of the story. And after the story they had a special guest, Violet, Gage walked right up to her gave her hug and high fives.

Thursday, we got a wake up call around 8, headed down for an amazing breakfast, took Gage to the room titled "Cub Club" to let him just play and enjoy himself before the Water Park opened at 10. Then headed back to our room to get in our swimsuits again and went to the Water Park. We played in the pool for almost 3 hours, Gage even loved the water slides on Thursday and went down the "River Canyon Run." Which was a pretty big tube slide, were Tommy and I got to ride with Gage. After playing and playing and getting almost pruned little fingers and toes, we headed back to the hotel room to change and order us yummy food from the "Critter Bar and Grill." Once we ate it was nap time. After our naps we headed back to the pool played for another hour, then spent the rest of our evening in the Arcade. Gage loved EVERY minute of it!

And to end our wonderful family get-a-way, Today on our way home we stopped at the Zoo. Gage loved all the animals, and especially loved the Train and Tram he got to ride twice! His favorite animal was the monkey, he'd point at them and say "oo aahh." He laughed at them when they jump from tree to tree.

Sunday In The Sun.

we had another beautiful Sunday today, about 84 degree weather! It was amazing. we started our Sunday off with a great message from our Sunday morning Service at Church, about the importance of EASTER, which is right around the corner. Afterwards, Tommy and I went to Maysville to pick up a TV Mount for the new TV in the basement, on the way up the road we gave Gage the option "Do you want to go with Mommy and Daddy to WalMart and Big Sandy and then the park, or go to Mamaw and Papaw's and play with Jace?" and before I even got "Jace" finished he looked right at me ( like a BIG BOY) and said " UhHuh I play with Jace." So me and Tommy went to get our TV Mount and a few needed things at WalMart, we also finally managed to get the Easter Basket I've been searching for, for Gage. Then once we made it home, Gage, Tommy and I played outside from about 3:00 to 7:30 by that time Gage was a dirty, muddy little boy, he had played hard. We are hoping all this play means an early night for us ;)

Our weekend was perfect, we spent all weekend with our family and friends. Friday night, Destiny and Lukas came over for playtime with Gage we ordered pizza and wings and watched some of the March Madness Games. Britt and Erik also came down Friday night, and later that evening Gage wanted his "Popaw" so Gage spent the night with his Mamaw and Popaw. On Saturday Britt and I went to Morehead to get her hair done and afterwards picked up Mialyn and Gage and let them run and play outside, Saturday was beautiful, they had a ball! Saturday evening we met up with My Aunt Tanya and Stepmom for some yummy food, Chandlers, in downtown Maysville. And Sunday afternoon we had a little cookout with my family, it was another warm, nice day so Gage was outside 80% of the day and on our way home we stopped at the Park in town and let him run and play some more, then we went to McDonald's for some "friefries" then made our way home. After all that fun on Sunday we figured Gage would be tired and ready for bed because he went ALL day without a nap, but no not Gage he was wound and ready for some more after he got bathed.

My neice Destiny is reading books all on her OWN! She's 6 years old and in Kindergarten, and so so intelligent!

Coloring, like a BIG boy, is one of my Favorite things to do now.

Sick Day with Momma

My sweet baby boy was up most of the night Monday night throwing up. It broke my heart to see him just miserable, he didn't understand what was going on, or why Mommy couldn't help him. So this Momma immediately called off work and stayed home with my sick little one. When he woke up Tuesday morning he got up in a pretty good mood, he's played all day, ate and kept his food and drinks down, so fingers crossed that this nasty bug has left this house! We have a weekend full of F-U-N and we don't have time to be sick! Haha.

Gage has become such a little talking machine in past few days, I feel like he just woke up one morning and became a BIG boy. A couple days ago he was laying in the floor with his Daddy and they were playing "Tickle Tummies" when Gage looked at his Dad and said "Don't do that Daddy." This morning we got up and he said "Mommy, come on, play." and pulled my hand and made me get out of the bed. This afternoon when I was giving him a bath he said "Mommy, I done, want towel." I know these aren't correct sentences but, they are full sentences for my 2 year old! I'm so very proud of my ~~little~~ BIG boy!! He's been mimicking everything everyone around him does, Sunday little Lukas came over for a visit and he's just learning to walk, Gage got behind Lukas and walked identical to him, arms out and a little wobble, just like Lukas. I said "Gage What are you doing?" He looked at me and said "Baby Walk." He can't say Lukas yet, so he calls him Baby or MyMy.

Tommy and I attended OUR first UK game today, and Gage stayed with his Aunt Jolene. We dropped Gage off around noon and headed off to Lexington. Once we got to Rupp Arena we ate inside there at a restaurant called Yesterday's which was really good. The game was crowed, fun and intense, close games are always the best games, whats a game when your leading by 20 or 30 points>? Haha. The end result UK 76 and the Florida Gators 68! After the game we were both so excited to head home to Gagey and give him his surprise (he always makes out like a King whether he's with us or not!) Once we got to Jolene's I walked in the door and yelled "Gagey" he come running arms wide open and held me tight for about 2 minutes, ah, LOVE these moments!!

My little cousin had her 9th Birthday Party today at a local skating rink in town. This was Gage's first time going to a Roller Rink, and he absolutely LOVED it, he just went wild, ran around chasing the older kids, laughing when they fell down, and clapping when they got back up. He danced and played his little heart out, he wore him self plum out and he came home fell asleep and slept for 2 whole hours!

The weather here in KY has been amazing, its been reaching at least 64 everyday! So needless to say Gage and I have been playing outside and taking advantage of this awesome weather. We've taken walks, played in his swing, even rode Daddy's four wheeler, Tommy has been working nights so our time with him is slim, and we really really miss him! Hopefully tonight will be his last night working nights so we can spend some time together tomorrow after church, before he and I both return to work on Monday.

Friday night we took Gage to his first Basketball Game, he was SO good. He sat and clapped, danced to the band and even "booed" with the student section, Ha. He had such a blast. with about 4 minutes of the game to go Gage looked at his daddy and said "home." he was ready so we took him to McDonalds and headed home. Gage's Best Friend Mialyn was staying the night with her Nana, and we decided to go visit Mialyn, Britt and Erik and let the kids exchange Valentine's Day presents. Mialyn got Gage an adorable ELMO outfit, his FAV, and Gage got Mialyn a Dora toddler purse, her FAV "DeeDee"!

Saturday we celebrated Little Lukas's FIRST birthday! He got all kinds of cool presents and by the end of the party he was wore plum out.

Kids Museum

Friday night we had a sleep over at MyMy's house and we woke up Saturday morning got ready and took Gage to the Kids Museum in Ashland. Brittany, Erik, Mymy, DayDay and Des came along with us. The kids had an absolute blast and did not want to leave! The Museum was fun, and it was nice to let the kids just play, run and have FUN! After the Museum we had all worked up an appetite so we headed over to CJ Maggie's for lunch. It was way past Gage's nap time so we boxed up Gage's food, ate ours, and headed home.

Tonight, I've been cleaning, folding laundry and just straighting up the house. I rode to town with my friend Lea, whom was missing her Brody like crazy and needed the company, we went to get Mani and Pedi's, but the Impressive Nails, had already closed, so we turned around and came home. When I got home my boys were watching the UK vs Florida game. Which on another note, Tommy and I are SO VERY EXCITED for the UK vs Florida game on the 26th at Rupp, because it'll be the 1st UK game we've ever been too!!

Our CATS may have let us down tonight by 2 points but still we still LOVE our CATS!!

Occansionally Gage will come get my hand and say "Pee Mommy Pee." He hardly ever uses the the potty but Sunday morning, he did it again, so I ran to get my camera and sure enough he peed in the potty! My little cutie is growing up too soon and too fast. Before I know it he'll be potty training this summer, running around in big boy undies. Its one of those sad but joyful moment things! Ha ha.

It's Hair Cut Time Again..

Gage is now on his 4th hair cut, Today Gage, Amber and I went to Wal-Mart to get Gage's hair trimmed.

I warned the girl trimming Gage's hair that he was going to cry and it wasn't going to be easy! After about 3 minutes into his hair cut he looked at Amber and I and said " I done" we laughed and went on with it a couple more minutes passed he stood up looked at the girl cutting his hair and screamed "I done, I DONE" I know most Mom's would have been embarrassed, but I just thought it was so cute. He is a Very smart little boy and he knows just exactly What he wants and When he wants it and he WILL express it!! Since I thought Gage did good during his hair cut afterwards we went to get Gage's favorite lunch to reward him, Chicken Nuggets and French Fries, Gage had finally warmed up to Amber at this point and was sharing his "Fri Fries" with her on the ride home.

Snow Day.

1.12.11 Gage had not been out to play in the snow at all, all winter so today I decided I was going to take him out.

He didn't really like :( the only thing he liked was his sled, he kept saying Wee Wee

Every time we'd stop and I'd try to get him out of the sled he'd say No Wee Wee.

I finally got him to get out of the sled and just Feel the snow, he did not like it. He found a truck toy in his wagon on the porch and took it over to the snow and threw it down and pointed at his sled and said it again, Wee Wee.

After I had to pick him up and carry him into the house from outside, because he did not want to go in, and he threw his little "Lykins ;)" fit, Haha, We came in the house got warm baths and then Destiny came up to play for a bit. For lunch we went to McDonald's and met up with Kristy, Laira, and Colleen for a lunch play date. Gage shared his "Fri Fries" with Laira and Colleen. And he ate very well, Gage has never really been a great eater, but here lately he's been doing really well, He must be hitting a growth spurt, lol. Once we all finished eating, we came home and now Gage is down for his nap. Tomorrow Gage has another appointment with his ENT, Dr.Conrad, I know that everything will be just fine, but please say a little prayer for my little angel.

Gage had so much playing at Brody's Birthday party, they had a bouncy blow up pit for all the kids to play in, Gage was a little leery of it at first but closer to the end of the Party he was right in there jumping having a blast with all the other kids.

Happy 2nd Birthday Brody Luke Roland! We Love you! Gage had so much at the party that he fell asleep less than 2 minutes down the road, we met up with my Dad with Gage, Gage went to Maysville with his Mamaw and Papaw to go to eat while Tommy & I went truck hunting.

Which brings me to this story. Tomorrow is Tommy's birthday! well this is his early birthday present. He's been wanting a new truck for a while now, really we needed one, because our old truck was just a regular cab truck, and with Gage I hate having to have him ride up front in the truck. Plus Tommy really works hard to support his family, so I believe he defiantly deserved a good truck that's going to last him!

I do not want to blog about this but I feel like I should because its a BIG step for you Gage Thomas. After being off work for about 3 weeks with out a doubt I DREADED returning to work not only for me but for you too, I just knew you'd cry and throw a big fit and not want me to leave. To my COMPLETE surprise Monday afternoon I dropped you off to Debbie, whom you've been calling Mamaw, every time we pull in her drive way you say " Mamaw arf,arf" (Debbie has a dog and Gage loves her dog, Bert) I walked you inside, sat you down stayed for a couple of minutes then you went and got Debbie's hand and said Bye Bye Mommy, Kiss. So you gave me a kiss, and I walked out the door, looked inside to make sure you were OK, you were, no tears, you didn't cry MOMMY. I went to my car sat for a few seconds and started to cry, you are just getting too BIG! On one hand it is very good you are not crying after Mommy anymore, because I know you love Debbie and that she's taking very good care of you, but on the other it breaks my heart to think that you don't need me as much as what you used to when you were just a little teeny tiny baby. I Love You Gage, you are my world!
